BNHS vying for the Nationwide Search for the Best School Forest Park

With its vast land area of almost 8 hectares surrounded by lush of beautiful plants and tall trees, Bataan National High School is already an existing forest park in the area. This makes Bataan National High School a very conducive place to study with its cool and tall trees surrounding the beautiful school buildings. Dr. Simeona B. Emata, Principal IV, assigned Mr. Amador M. Barcarse, T.L.E. teacher to supervise the beautification and planting of different species of trees and ornamental plants inside the BNHS Mahogany Forest Park.

The said competition which is under memorandum no. 416, series of 2008 of the Department of Education in cooperation with the Luntiang Pilipinas Foundation, Inc., headed by Senator Loren legarda aims to promote environmental awareness and raise the level of consciousness of high school students on the importance of preserving and protecting the environment for the benefit of the future generations and also to enjoin the active participation of various DepEd curricula that promotes environmental concerns.

“This is Bataan National High School’s contribution to lessen the effects of global warming by planting, protecting and preserving the environment”, said Dr. Simeona B. Emata.
